Flavours for the

Curious

SOUTH-ASIAN TRADITION MEETS EUROPEAN CULTURE.

Originating from the South-Asian culture, where traditional flavored water is often consumed to battle extreme heat in a flavorful manner, founder Ali Zeeshan aims to draw on traditional Indian flavors to refresh the European market.

Cardamom Water

In South-Asian countries (India, Pakistan etc...), where temperatures can rise up to over 50° Celsius in summer, local communities turn to homemade flavored water for refreshment. So, KURIOO bring it to EUROPE!

Falsa Water

Inspired by herbal pharmacopeia, which has a history of almost 1000 years, locals mix up their water with natural Indian syrups, such as Cardamom and Falsa Fruit, to spice up their drink and quench their thirst.

Beetroot Water

First time ever in refreshing drinks, we proud to say KURIOO is the first brand to introduce beetroot as a flavored water. For the people with curiosity, keeping in mind about the temperature rising in the European culture.

CARDAMOM

Cardamom, sometimes cardamon or cardamum, is a spice made from the seeds of several plants in the genera Elettaria and Amomum in the family Zingiberaceae. Both genera are native to the Indian subcontinent and Indonesia.

Their small seed pods recognize them: triangular in cross-section and spindle-shaped, with a thin, papery outer shell and small, black seeds; Elettaria pods are light green and smaller, while Amomum pods are larger and dark brown.

FALSA

Grewia asiatica, commonly known as phalsa or falsa, is a species of flowering plant in the mallow family Malvaceae. It was first found in Varanasi, India, and was taken by Buddhist scholars to other Asian countries and the rest of the world. Grewia celtidifolia was initially considered a sheer variety of phalsa but is now recognized as a distinct species.

It is a shrub or small tree growing to 8 m tall. The leaves are broadly rounded, 5–18 cm long and broad, with a petiole 1–1.5 cm long. The flowers are produced in cymes of several together, the individual flowers about 2 cm diameter, yellow, with five large (12 mm) sepals and five smaller (4–5 mm) petals. The fruit is an edible drupe 5–12 mm diameter, purple to black when ripe.

BEETROOT

The beetroot is the taproot portion of a beet plant, usually known as beets in Canada and the United States. At the same time, the vegetable is referred to as beetroot in British English and is also known as the table beet, garden beet, red beet, dinner beet or golden beet.

It is one of several cultivated varieties of Beta vulgaris grown for their edible taproots and leaves (called beet greens); they have been classified as B. vulgaris subsp. vulgaris Conditiva Group.

Other cultivars of the same species include the sugar beet, the leaf vegetable known as chard or spinach beet, and mangelwurzel, a fodder crop. Three subspecies are typically recognized.
